Ghost is a character I've been working on for a while, though this is the first image I've drawn of her.

Despite her name, she is human, not an actual ghost. She is named this because she is pale, has grey eyes and hair, and wears shades of grey and white. Ghost dresses in Grey Goth or "ghost" fashion, with the styling details based loosely around the Victorian era. Her costume was fun to design - I don't normally use grey or white in anything.

Ghost is one of the more "natural" characters I have - meaning she is not really keen on machinery or too much technology. She likes to be around forested areas, particularly in winter when there is snow covering the dead branches. Ghost is relatively non-emotional and detached, and focuses more on the philosophical side of things than their physical presence. She is very creative, and likes art, poetry and music. She plays the violin.

Ghost is one of my own alter egos/personas. She is the perfected form of one side of my personality, but that is what makes her flawed - she has some similar characteristics to me, but is missing all the others (so she only sees things from one side). I have created several characters in this way (including Artifice and Sanguine, who I am still working on). Ghost is the calm, poetic version of myself.

I drew this for a Design project for term 4 at Whitecliffe College (it gave me an excuse and an incentive to actually draw her).

I enjoy your drawing. The concept is very nice, along with the story that you tell. I like how you colored the violin, and how it looks flat instead of full as it normally would. Coloring the instrument gives your picture an interesting touch, and brings your attention to the instrument itself. I like the style of dress, with the corset looking front and the flowing skirt. You did a nice job shading in the folds of her skirt. Keep up the good work. :)
